About Me

I read a little bit of everything — literary fiction, thrillers, sci-fi, fantasy,
memoirs, Manga, LitRPG, Comics — and I read it whichever way takes my fancy at the time (Kindle, Kobo, Paperbacks… Hardcover only if I really need to, Audible, Spotify).

Permanent residents in my brain:
Susanna Clarke, Robert A. Heinlein, Joseph Fink, and Jonathan Sims.
Everyone else is just visiting.

Off the Page

Usually with an audiobook in my ears you’ll find me:

  • with my three dogs (the best boys)
  • working on cars (I need my emotional support WRX)
  • making slow progress on crochet projects that may or may not be old enough to attend school
  • watching a movie adapted from a book and then whining about it
  • or hanging out with my grandma’s cat (I’m horribly allergic… this has never stopped me)

Also: old computers, and talking about books — all the good, the bad, and the ugly — for hours.

How I Rate Books

5 stars — one of the best books I’ve ever read

4 stars — a pretty darn good book

3 stars — a good enough book

2 stars — it’s OK

1 star — I’d go lower if I could (I will do mental gymnastics to avoid giving 1 star… or simply not review it)
